Just bought a new shifter from gbodyparts.com for my cutlass. Is the little metal pin suppose to stick out a little? I cant seem to put it all the way in no matter what i do.

If you are talking about the clip that holds the shifter knob on, it is not supposed to hang out. I got one of those new handles, and I cant get the clip all of the way in either. Luckily, my handle is really tight on the lever and wont pull off.
same here. its tight on there and doesnt move but the little clip still sticks out a little. i thought maybe it stuck out a little because if didnt it would probably be hell to remove it after
