My monte carlo at one time had automatic shift on the column. The previous owner removed it and put in a hurst floor shifter. How would I go about putting back on the column shifter. The shift indicator was missing on the cluster, but I was able to get one at a junkyard. How do I hook it all up roughly.

Wow, really? You actually want to go from floor shift to granny shift?

haha, seriously. i'm wanting to go tothe floor shifter. i hate column.

Do you have all the pieces?

i'll give him all the pieces for his floor shifter!!

gonna keep it on the floor

I think I'm gonna keep the floor shifter. The reason why I really wanted to hook up the column shiffter was the floor shifter was keeping me from moving the bench foward. The previous owner was obviously taller then me and I can't reach the pedals now. I guess I'm gonna go ahead and put some bucket seats in the car. Which brings me to another question. Do I have to buy special brackets now for the buckets or will they hook up with the same mounting points the bench head, thanx

do you have a split bench seat or is it a full bench?

Split bench seat, no the mounting brackets are there.
Full bench, yes you would need to add the middle brackets.

K, I'll bring my camera with me, see if I can't get some pics of how it all goes together.

(I'm heading out to remove the granny shift column from my Regal)

full bench

It's a full bench, I think dixie monte carlo depot sells those brackets, thanks fellas
