Short plugs

when I dropped motor in montecarlo I switched to flow tech headers the #5 plug is close to the header. I am using Delco 45 s on the motor which is a gasket plug. Suggestions?

I've been using NGK V-groove plugs. They're shorter than the AC's and clear the headers well.

Accel also makes a short plug. I believe they refer theirs as U-groove plugs.

Correct Jack. I had to run Accel shorty plugs on my 355 due to header clearance. Unfortunately I don't recall the part #, but never had an issue with them.

I have read several articles in Hot Rod and Car Craft over the years, that say that putting a small clearance "dent" in the primary tubes of headers doesn't affect performance. I had a 76 Camino with a 400 ci small block that i had to ding two tubes to get plugs to fit. If the interference is small enough it might be worth it, in order to run the right plug
