Is there a difference in the mid 70 vs 78-80 grand prix 301 mounts?or are the mid 70s same as the TAs??Thanks

Hey Pontiacman469 as you can tell i am not Shotgun but i am another Pontiac guy, and to answer your question they are the same mounts. The 301.6 cu in (4.9 L) 301 was offered from 1977 to 1981 and also installed in other GM cars during those years.

You can always check this sort of thing out by using Auto Zones website...putting in a 77, getting a part number, then put in a 78 and see if the number changes.

I have found that Fbody mounts are a little taller. Never researched the part numbers, just always use the original 301 mounts.

This is a 301 Gbody mount vs a Fbody "400" mount.

Both will work.

I know "a guy" that might sell you a set. 😉
