Currently working with a vendor on getting these made since there is a high demand for them and no one is seizing the opportunity.

So... I need color samples.
Several come to mind that I would need, preferably from an 85-87 442:
Burgundy or Maroon
Dark Blue or Teal
Dark Gray or Gunmetal (one from 85 with White exterior and one from 85-87 with Dark Gray)
White
Black

I have black and white covered since they are arbitrary but need everything else.

Also, still looking for a Teal and Burgandy NOS stripe so I can run my roll of 3M material to make 442 stripes.

I have tan 'camel' inserts in my side moldings in case there is any demand for that color. I could be interested in some of the finished material - the current lack of resources makes me want to take them off the car, but I am not ready to fill the holes and repaint.

Sounds like those are aftermarket style moldings that were not available on 81-88 Cutlass.
I am not interested in those but thanks anyways.

These are one piece 4/5" or 20mm wide moldings with coextruded mylar trim on top and bottom.

Tan side moldings weren't available for 442, but they were on my 87 Salon. They were factory installed. Example below.

85 442 only used gray side moldings regardless of upper body color. 86/87 used upper body colored molding inserts.

Actually, they had several adhesive side molding colors available for G-47 Olds from 82-88 according to the parts book. White, Lt Doeskin, Lt Jadestone, Pastel Sandstone, Slate Gray, Dk Redwood, Dk Autumn Maple, Dk Briar Brown, Lt Sand Gray, Lt Gray Fern, Lt Saddle, Lt Chestnut, Lt Sage. Med Dk Royal Blue, Dk blue, other that was used on the 442, and that's about it I think.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something here.

G-body 442 only used gunmetal metallic (For 85 442, it was the only color used), Dark Blue Metallic, Black Cherry, and Black.

Is this a joke?! You guys are putting these things back on the car? Out here that's the first thing we rip off a stock G especially if it is going to be outside a lot since moisture gets trapped at the edges and promotes rust... I cant imagine why anyone would want impact mouldings back on their car unless it was like.. a 442 show car in 98% original condition or something maybe. lol. Also, why remanufacture them in any color but black/white. You will just lose hundreds of dollars on all the colored ones when 95% of the people who show up to buy these things all want black...

naw I'm trying so hard to feel the impact mouldings but they just look hideous. I guess beauty is truly in the of the beholder as they say... to each his own
