This is Daniel with the '84 Caprice, 305. In the GM/Chevrolet Shop Manual (ST-329-54) for Caprice and other models, it shows a drawing
of the Air Pump with a metal tube going from the pump to the Diverter Valve, yet in the photos below from my car, it's a rubber hose. I've
pretty much determined that sometime in life of the car, the engine was replaced. I've not had the chance to pull off the alternator to check
the block number. So my question is, is the rubber hose from the pump to the Diverter Valve something specific on another GM engine?
If so, then I'll get the shop manual for that one!
