Before I call it a night, I'll bring this oddity up. Earlier I was doing some mock ups on the 350 with pulleys & brackets. I grabbed a set off a '86 305 to use the serpentine belt set up. I plan to set the smog pump up to just be there for the visual inspection (able to function if needed.) With the newer set up pump ('82-'88) I can't get my diverter valve ('78-'81) to position right. I am wondering (& was searching Ebay for) if a C4 Vette pulley would work to replace the V belt one for a serpentine one for the '81 set up. My pulley position lines up with the water pump & crank pulleys. So, in theory I should be able use one from a early C4. Input, ideas, number to a good head shrink.
