Re: smog rods elco laied out on 22"

Pretty serious stuff, I'll definitely be following this thread . I'm interested to see this cantilever setup.I,ve seen them on bikes & race car suspension. Also curious how this will ride & handle. I know the long lower control arms are a proven thing for the better .

I have the elco in the steel ground effects thread , which I just purchased front shockwaves for & f9000 rear bags . I won't need to drop as low with my extended bodywork, but I'm worried I won't have as much lift range as I would like, extra lift would be handy just for maintenance & cleaning.

your f9000 will provide about 11" of lift it should be more than enough. that is my preferred bad for a over axle set up on all most every customer car i do. i have them on my personal malibu. that ride is pretty good and its a time proven quality bag. you'll like them. on the front your only going to get about 7.75" of lift with the shock wave the strut has about 5" of under load and about an 1.75 in more due to the LCA geometry

UMmm yes please 8)

I love this, that should be obvious. Super cool stuff, if you need any ideas this thing is pretty cool >> http://youtu.be/MlYElEz59f8

Re: smog rods elco laied out on 22"

Thanks for the info. After first seeing you canted setup, I googled & saw a few examples. While the bed is no longer work truck worthy, the mechanical look can't be mistaken for anything other than awesome looking.Do you generally use single or double adjustable shocks to control ride quality?

PS I'm doing a pretty odd setup myself for air control. Setting up ball valves attached to a distribution block with return springs between the fill & release valves, a lever with roller between each valve set to activate with a push or pull of a knob. Will sit under front seat. Has a 5th push only lever for my navy ship horn. Simple , but complex at same time, like your suspension setup.
