So this evening I had the enjoyment of installing Softseal's weatherstrip on my pass side.

What a headache. The corner did not match up right with the window (gap) and the door panel pushes against the seal and the door takes one hell of a push to close. The seal also sticks out 1/4" away from the b pillar trim too far. Does this brand just not fit right or am I doing something wrong. It seems pretty simple, remove old and replace.

I know Fairchild Industries has their's in production.

I know both Softseal and Metro lower door seals fit like crap. GM lower door seals fit right but they cost alot.

i got lucky and found gm seals, took some searching but they are out there and can cost some $$$ i have heard the aftermarket seals are not great though

yup the fitment sucks. quality seems real good though. i did one side last summer & it was so much fun i forgot to do the other side. but i will someday.

i have softseal on my 85 that the original owner put on. THEY SUK!!! get the GM ones if u can find/afford them.
