FS1 had this on this morning, the Richmond 400 from '86 with plenty of G's racing. No thingy cars here. Even got those classic '80's commercials.

Thingy cars? If NASCAR says my Camry is the same as a Mustang GT then I'm okay with that!
That was the era when I started watching. It's a crying shame what it has turned into. This is my last year. In 2021 when they go to identicle bodied cars with 18" wheels and a single knock-off lugnut (a la Indy car) I'm DONE!

There is a lot of cars without sponsorships near the back of the pack. Kinda interesting.

15 minutes in the 81ish regal crashes. Guy's from Alberta. Poor Canadians couldn't even get a aero car, they were stuck with a notchback still!
