i was just at the newest autozone in the area, when i pulled up in the cutlass i parked right next to a white luxery sport with bucket seat interior. i figured out that it belonged to the guy that worked there so i started asking him questions about it and he really didnt even seem intersted in talking about it, kinda a *ss if you ask me. i made a comment about its kinda rare to see the bucket seat interior in a ls and he went into oh its just a option just like a monte ss could have a bench seat in 87 and i had to bite my tongue and leave. some people.... i am always looking for people into g body cars and he just acted like it was just a average car. he did say he just painted it, installed a system and it had a v6. i was going to inform him that his gas tank was excellent for swapping a efi engine into but i figured that would go right over his head. before i left i asked him if he wanted to sell it but he said no, too bad, it was pretty clean!

Yeah, I just took a second job at AZ and the guys who work there are.... umm... well, you know...

I can't talk to them about anything! I don't know how they sell parts!

Second job at AZ? What are they offering up as far as health insurance?

yeah there are a few guys at our O'Reilly Auto (same as AZ) and i had the malibu there one day and they all thought it was so cool and everything but not a single one of them knew it was a malibu. they just kinda looked at it and critizied. so i asked them where their restored cars were and they shut up

If you work full time, they have Blue Cross/Blue Shield here in FL. You can start at 11.75/hr if you have good automotive knowledge. I guess you can tell that they are sorely lacking!

If you are part time, they offer some type of pay/go type health insurance and start at 10.50/hr. It's better than nothing, but not great. I already have good insurance at Detroit Diesel so I'm not buying into it.

My friends and I (some of whom are import people) used to call it "Ricer Zone" because of all the stupid APC crap they used to sell. There's nothing like a set of "Type R" floor mats to make your car go faster!

The O'Riley's in my town is very knowledgeable compared the Advance and AZ. I can almost say that the O'Riley guys are even better than NAPA, just i have to go with NAPA when it comes to some things

I like the small, local shops better than anything. I'll give a plug to my long-time favorite... when I don't need something immediately, I got to a shop in my old town, some 40 miles north, called 002 Auto Parts. One of the guys that works there is actually the G-Body guy that I got my Grand Prix from. They tend to have a good working knowledge of what goes in what.

that's about what i made as a class-b tech!! most of the people at the AZ and advance counters are monkeys. hell they're retarded monkeys!

That's not a bad full or part wage if they kick in the insurance bennys. I know O'R offers good benefits too, but they don't pay very much from what I hear. I might need to get a 2nd job for a family health ins. plan. Paying out of pocket for all 4 of us will be rough.

But I know what you mean about AZ. Up here they now face the computer the other way, so basically you can tell the numbnuts what link to click. Hell pretty soon they'll just let us do it ourselves like the self checkout at the grocery store.

Last time the guy said.... 'Ok Malibu... what engine?' I said.. 305... he said. 'There's no 305. There's a 5.0 though.' aaaagghhh!

Kris you might become manager in a month..lol
