Hi All,

Changing my spark plugs in my '83 Hurst today. Unfortunately I can't find my service manual right now so I am just wondering if there's a particular torque I should be tightening them to? VIN 9 307 if that makes a difference.

Thanks,
T

Just run them in by hand until they stop then tighten them about 1/4 turn after that. Really no need to tighten them beyond that ESPECIALLY if you were to have aluminum heads.

Thanks. Everything went pretty smooth and I got all the new plugs in. Car runs a lot better. All of them were gapped too large and one of them were really mangled... Whoever did it last did not do a very good job...
