So I just bought some new headers, and 1 of the plugs is touching the headers. I recently have the AC delco plugs. I was talking with a guy and he said I can buy shorter spark plugs. Do any of u guys have this problem, or know what brand of spark plugs to use.

ngk plugs r sightly shorty. might be an alternative to buying a shorty race plug

Do u know how much shorter. I'm looking for the shortest plug I can get

an ngk 6630 is approx. 1/8" shorter than an r45ts (same heat range and both extended tip) i think autolite makes a really short race plug. and acdelco might too but i dont know what part numbers

accell has plugs they call header plugs which is what i run on mileybu. they r exactly 5/16s of an inch shorter than the acdelcos i used to run. there was alot more space with them than the others

do you have any part numbers

Don't have part numbers but they can be found at O'reilly auto parts and other parts stores as well. I work there and I know at most of the stores, they're hanging in the performance section. It's a yellow box with a picture of a blown race motor on the front.

I run those same plugs in the 455 in my Cutlass.

I found this pic online. You can find them at any auto parts store.

can't give a part number as you need the right tip and heat range, but x3?4?5? on the accel shorties. i have 1 (matched to my standard NGK's) in my engine.

What make of headers? Cheap one or High Quality? Sounds like they may have been built wrong. Ran into that with Hedmann Hedders once, the Left Header hit on the frame and the collector exited pointed into my trans. Called their customer service to complain ended up getting into a fight with the hack aka dick over the phone, He thought I was stupid.. :blam: BTW I am a Field Engineer for a Top tier OEM..the headers were made in china...Got some Dyno Max from Jegs with the Complete dual exhaust Kit and it worked perfectly...
