speedo cable

i need to replace the speedo cable in my car, it's a 3.8, non lock up th-350. can i just buy a new cable for the original application and use it? i dont think they did anything with the cable when they replaced the 200 boat anchor so i'm guessing it's the original.

also what length do i need?

Yes, the oe cable will work fine.
