turns out i ended up with a th-375 transmission. (its what we had laying around and we thought it was a 350.) I dont know much about speedometer cables, but will one from a regal that has ran a th-200 and a th-350 work?

From what I know a TH375 is basically a TH400 with a different output shaft and housing. So I'm guessing you'll need a cable for a TH400. But I'm not too sure. I also think it's longer, so you might need to fab yourself a transmission bracket.

Its identical to a TH350, drive shaft is a bit different, so i have to change the yoke on the driveshaft

I would double check on that. Because from what I know TH375 were only used in trucks. And are supposed to be the same as a TH400.

arg. I am so confused right now, Im hoping it ends up being just a th-350 with a different end shaft. Guess I will find out tommarow....

It could be. What is it that makes you think it's not a TH350?

my grandpa swore it was a 400, but upon me proving him wrong changed his mind to that it was a 375. Its been sitting in his junk yard for 9 years but was rebuilt 9 years ago and has sat since then.

Does the pan look like a 350 or like a 400?

350, but on the cross reference sheet the 375 is listed as the same pan as the 350.

Well I could be wrong. Just so a bit of research on google. I'm sure there will be photos on there.
