SPEEDOMETER NOISE

Hi,
did it happened to anyone that speedometer starts to make noise at certain speed?
It happens to me at around 30 mph up. Its very disturbing, so I unmounted all dashboard
and put some oil in speedometer, it seems to help, but I didnt put all dashboard back up.
Any experience?

Are you sure its the speedometer? The cable can also make a squeaky noise. If its not the cable, you may have to send the speedo in to a speedo shop for repair.

Couple of things I found with speedos Make sure they are tight at both ends, looseness will allow the cable to wind into
the cable housing. the cable itself is wound in a direction that will move lubricant, but wont flow lubricant if there is none.
Make sure the bends are as smooth as possible and make sure there are no spots that were affected by HEAT ! like those new headers !!!!! Best of luck !!!
