speedometer rattle

i guess this is an interior issue,, i have several el caminos and malibu i get that stupid rattling speedometer how do u fix that? my 80 malibu is real bad, the needle doesnt really move just that sound in side rattling... any help is greatly appreciated

sounds like you need to lube the cable or just replace it. I replaced mine with a cheap one from Autozone. No problems going on 2 years. About $15 I believe.
