Just wondering if anybody any ideas or has used aftermarket splash shields (mud flaps)? I can find NOS of the fronts on Ebay, but cannot find the rears for the life of me. I live on a dirt road and want to try an keep as much mud, rocks, etc from pounding the rocker area and rear fenders as possible. Thanks in advance!!!

i have both mud flaps and that clear film (1st reply mentioned) on my car. the mud flaps i bought from autozone over 20 yrs ago with blue bowties, the blue has worn off but put em back on after paint cuz couldn't find a good replacement + they are on with self tap screws. the film i have on my rocker panels & just before rear wheels.

Thanks. I'll likely do both, but want to get the flaps ASAP. So you just made some from the Auto Parts store work. Good to know.

yeah and i think they were a little bigger than factory 1s but worked & look fine. my current ss didn't come with any but my 1st 1 came with factory 1s i presume cuz had stripes on em similar to the stickr stripes on body. for whatever you can see, original owner said took off flaps cuz looked "chi chi". i guess as a full blooded 2nd or 3rd gen US born italian, the look of sand chipped off paint looked better. lol

Old stock off of eBay, front or rear position, $20:

Not sure how old the flaps are but the lock knobs I found are from 1987 and seem to be about the same age:

Thanks for the replies everyone. I bought a set that looks like L05edSS's. I think the car originally came with them, so hopeful I can use the same holes and not swiss cheese my front fender much more than it already is. 😂
