im Thinking about putting a spoiler on my Monte Carlo but I’m curious if it will leak in my trunk when it rain?

^ ^he's rite,3m makes a product called strip chalk.put it on the base of the spoiler where the stud or bolts meet the underside. that way when you place it on the deck lid it'll squish around where the hardware passes through the lid.also put some on the backside of the nut so when it's tightend up it seal from the bottom side up.some on the threads won't hurt either.

Ditto on the strip caulk, its very useful for that purpose and connections around heat/ac. Keep a box in your garage, you’ll find many uses, just like WD-40 and Prep-sol. Make sure you protect the paint where you drill through.

Ditto on the 3M strip caulk.

I've used plumber's putty before with awesome results. If it works for sinks, it should work for your car. You can roll it into small rolls and make little "cheerios" for the studs on both sides of the holes. Wipe off any excess after tightened down, and enjoy your new spoiler.
