Hello, i think F-body springs fit our platform right? What about the earlier A-body? Reason i ask is cuz i came across a set of A-body Eibachs for the front and was wondering if they would work? Anybody know? What other springs would fit other than S-10 Moog 5658 or 5660 for the front and Moog 5665 or 5413 for the rear. I am looking for a 1-2 in drop for my GP and would like to get a Coil spring that would give me a accurate drop..Thanks

F-body springs definitely fit. (3rd gen).

I used to run some Moog 5662s in the front. Pretty stiff shizz, 706 lbs/in. Still didn't handle worth a damn though, lol

Check out this chart. It mentions A-body rear springs, but not fronts, and I have no personal experience with A-bodies period, so I can't help you there.

The F-body stuff fits though.

I am aiming towards the 5658 in front with a 36mm front sway bar and 5413 in the rear with a aftermarket 1inch rear sway bar for my Moog options. I ask about the brand name springs cuz they come up from time to time on craigs for sale and would rather use them. Did the 5662's drop your car at all?

I've got the 5662's in the front of mine. Yes, 82-92 fbody springs will fit our cars, both front and back. The rears need the fbody isolator because they are open coils at the top, not the pig-tail like the g-body. Fit just fine though. I couldn't tell if theydropped the front of mine as I went from a V6/stock coil to a SBC/5662 combo. According to all charts I've seen, the 5662's do not lower more than .5" if any at all.

I've heard the 5658/5413 is a good combo. Here's a pic of what the front sits like with the 5658's:

Hard to say...
I did a full suspension rebuild while I was at it. Belltech 2" drop spindles, poly bushings in the control arms, springs, ball joints, tie rods, swaybar bushings, you name it.

Even once the springs were broken in, it definitely wasn't any more than a 2" drop, but I'm thinking it's because my factory springs were all sacked out, so it was lower to begin with. The 5662 springs definitely didn't drop it any. The spindles were responsible for that.

It was an '83 Cutlass, 305/TH-350 with A/C, to give you an idea of front weight. All stock stuff, no aluminum parts.

My car is currently getting a front suspension rebuild and i am using the mostly everything stock. Sure wish i had the cash to put in aftermarket parts.. any ways i don't have a/c put will probably put in a non a/c box soon. doubt it will be alot of weight to drop it anymore. My original springs are still in pretty good shape i assume it sits at around 29 in with the tall tires i have on it now. I will be getting 17 or 18 in rims to accomadate the C5 front brakes.

Just something to think about. I recently bought new stock replacement springs for the front of my car. It raised it up about an inch. So remember, your old springs are probably already giving you around an inch of drop. So if you get a 2" drop spring, you car may only sit an inch lower.

One inch should be fine seeing as most aftermarket springs advertise that..But 2 would be nicer
