Hey guys it's been a while since I've been in here. I got another job that turned into a full time job welding for a local manufacturer while still in high school. I knew mig welding both steel and aluminum before hired there but they have taught me tig welding on aluminum, stainless, galvanized steel, and regular steel. Graduating in may I am able to get out at 12:15 and work 12:30 to 9. Finally catching back up financially. I can start to afford to do some mods to my 87 gp. One of the first things I have planned is an HID kit. Any good brands to reccomend? My friends bought some kits from a company and have had trouble with the ballasts. So any decently priced kits with little or no problems?

Some other things coming up are...
Wheels/tires
lowering springs and suspension upgrades
bucket seats and custom center console
alpine sound system
drivetrain overhaul (sbc 383 and hopefully manual transmission)
possibly back in the paint booth
and little stupid stuff like window tint. But def no underglow or rainbow led interior lights

How many thousand k did u get? For your high and low beams. How much was the kit?

I have ddm tuning kits in my truck. 35watt and 5000k. Stay around 5000-5500 k for a nice bright white. The higher the k the mire bluish purple they get and actually aren't as bright to the eye

Pennsylvania just put into affect a new regulation for headlights for state inspection. If they are hid the must ommit a white light. Any blue light that is not oem should not be passed. And even though my dad does inspection he won't pass even my cars for stuff like that. Fines are too much when it's your own business. Cops around here can be real pricks about really bright hid headlights.
