So, as some of you may have noticed in my pics, my rear springs in my 442 are in need of replacement, as they have quite a bit of sag in them.

Now I've got two new sets of springs that I bought super cheap off eBay, and I'm debating which ones to use. One set is a pair of variable rate cargo coils, and the other a set of Moroso Trick rear springs. Now my car is a street car, but I plan on taking it down the strip as often as I can make it to the track (about once a year). I'll also be replacing my rear shocks with a set of air-shocks, since it was equiped with them from the factory. I do not want to lower the ride height at all.

I'm leaning towards the cargo coils, and then I guess I can always swap the springs for the track if I feel the need. Anybody have any positive or negative experiences with either? What do you think, or should I just get a set of stock replacement springs?

No since in using the trick springs with air shocks, defeats the purpose. I've also heard that they wear out fairly quickly. I'd try the cargo coils you got and see where the ride height is. If you don't like it go get some other stock replacement. Also I wouldn't bother putting the air shocks on but that's my .02's.

Yeah, I think I'll end up throwing the cargo coils in there and seeing how I like it. If I feel ambitious, maybe I'll try swapping the trick springs in for fun. Good call on the air shocks, I guess I'll only put those back in if I go with a stock spring. I need new shocks anyways...

I replaced my old rear springs with the factory variable rate cargo springs and they work great. Once you start using aftermarket pieces, you may not be very pleased with some of the products these companies are putting out.

The moroso trick springs are designed to squat on a launch, I wouldn't want to use them for the street.
