Hi Everyone. Little introduction would be polite I gather. I currently own a 1985 442. I've owned it for 14 plus years and have every intention to pass along to my son. It is a white over burgundy interior car. Has all the options including T-Tops, however, the somehow didn't check the truck release. Oh well.
I've been an Olds guys since I was about 14. I've owned 3 Cutlasses total.
I'm in the midst of restoring my 85, or should I say restifying my 85. My hope it to create a 85 442 which appears to have rolled off the line with a 455...nothing too flashy. Just factory appearing gear.
I'm plenty deep into the engine, put it is done right. Bore :30 over, decked, balanced etc etc. Stock exhaust manifolds as I can't see paying $500 for headers that route outside the framerails and cut down the steering radius. Running a TH 400 with shift kit. Have the dual hump crossmember as well. Will run 2.5 exhaust when the time comes.
Generally the body is in very good shape, besides the normal under door/ door skin rot. Interior is a bit faded due to t-tops and needs a headliner...shocker I know.
Anyway, I'm happy to be a part of this forum and hope to help you out on your projects as well.
Take care,
Barryboy
