How much stall can I run without burning up my 200 R 4 transmission in overdrive in a 1987 monte carlo SS , I have the 406 intalled with a 9" rearend and 390 gears , don't want it slipping in overdrive .

You're gonna buy a lock up converter anyway so it won't be "slipping" in overdrive.

Call the converter company of your choice, give them all the info about your car, and have them build you one for your car. Takes all the guess work out of it and you get one that works with your car.
