OK I have 327 in my regal, did a 4 speed manual swap. I have a 606 Bell housing and block has the three holes for starter. I went to advance and found a starter for manual trans but the pattern is staggered for the bolts...doesn't even come close to lining up. Assuming its for a 168 tooth flywheel when I need a 153. Question I have is when I walk into a parts store what vehicle am I asking for the correct straight bolt pattern for the 153 tooth? I know mini starter can be ordered online, but i Need to get it locally as a temporary fix to get the car on the road. Please help guys.

Try getting one for mid 80's to 90's Camaro with a 305 or any other vehicle with 305 for that matter. Most every 305 came with 153 tooth flywheel.

Yeah you know what I just realized I was looking it up under a 350 this whole time. I used a 79 el Camino with a 305 and they all look like the right bolt pattern. Thanks.

Another easy way is just look up for the factory manual cars, other than the 350/4sp ElCaminos, all have 153 tooth fly wheels.
