does anyone know are far a starter should be away from the flywheel.i just started having a problem from a mini starter i installed on my Chevy.when i go to start the car sounds like the shaft on the starter is banging around on the flywheel for a second or two.i shimmed it when i first installed it and didn't seem to be giving me any grief, but as things settle problems arrive.is the starter to close or to far,to low or to high.the block on the front of the starter is shimmed too.
