Have a few questions about the above listed subject....

anybody have any good advice on what starters and alternator
to run on a rebuilt SBC 350? amps....size....teeth...etc

Thanks

The starter has to match the flexplate - I know those gear reduction/lightweight ones are popular.

I would only get as much alternator as you need for the electrical draws on your vehicle. I think the old G bodies had 60 amp or 80 amp ones? Modern cars have a lot more electronic needs than our old school stuff.

If your 350 has less than 10:1 compression you can use the stock starter from a newer S10/Blazer 4.3. You could probably score a used one cheap. You're gonna have to use a larger of the two flexplates for SBCs
