stiff TieDown

[FirstClass 383]

I got some fairly new tiedowns that have been on a truck for about 6 months, thur rain, wind, heat, (summertime stuff ) i finally got around to takeing them off and there stiff as --. any ideas on how i would loosen them up, i will be putting them in my wench box (water proof) it is not the rachets that are stiff its the straps them selfs

Actually, I'd work them a bit while they're wet, and WD-40 the ratchets.
