so I work for a sign company, and this lil incident happened friday of last week, what a way to end the week right? NO that wasn't me, it was a fellow co-worker of mine, I don't work on the trucks, only on occasion, I bend up the sheetmetal and paint the signs so I'm in the shop all the time. just thought I'd share this.
How it happened: the guy was doing a "lift" as we call it where he was just going to lift an old AC unit off the building and put a new one up. well he had the crane fully extended and instead of "booming" the crane back, then rotating over and letting the load line down, he just rotated it over to set the unit down fully extended and in the process, twisted the right outrigger, slowly tippin the truck over to how it is in the pic. the truck was fine it was turned back on all fours and driven back to the shop, with the major damage being to the bucket at the end of the crane that we do service work on, and we had to get a I-beam from the scrapyard to replace the twisted outrigger. and to build a new bucket
