Hi all,

Again not really G-body related but I know you liked the pics last time so here we go again. Some G-bodies in here though!

From a recent trip riding motorcyles west of Austin in the Texas Hill Country with my Dad. Me on the yellow Magna and he on the big gold Road Star. Great day, upper 70's, perfect blue sky, great roads and great views. Heaven.

We put over 300 miles on the bikes. Rode from Austin to Blanco to Luckenbach, then to Fredericksburg, north to Llano and back across Lake Buchannan and Burnet to Georgetown and back to Austin. A huge circle full of twists, turns, dips, hills, and fast straights. Lord the hill country is just my favorite playground in the world!

ANYWAY for you country buffs we stopped in Luckenbach for a good hour and had some beers under the oak trees there. This is the "town" made famous by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. It's just a bar, dance hall, general store and an outdoor stage where cool cars and motorcyles show up, people strum guitars, and if you're lucky...like today, there is a live band. Had a girl there today from Nashville with tattoos up both arms and a hell of a voice. Lots of nice motorcycles there too, along with the North Texas Camaro Club in the parking lot. VERY COOL!

After Luckenbach we rode to Fredericksburg to see my buddy Rich and check out all the latest cars at Street Dreams. Some awesome cars today. A 70 SS 396 Chevelle with a 4spd I'd give my right arm for, and a 91 Silverado 454SS, which was always one of my dream vehicles. Lots of other gorgeous stuff too..as always!

Was a really good ride and good time with my Dad. Can think of much worse ways to spend a Saturday.

Yeah whenever we hit the hill country I do all I can to stop in there and drool. They always have neat stuff! I loved that silver Monte SS. SO sharp.

I've been through there a few times on my way to Austin. I've never stopped, but I'd like to next time I go by. I know they have some vinyards I'd like to stop buy and get a few bottles. 😛

That entire area is awesome. Good food, great roads and views, good music. Can't beat the hill country!

I do love that whole Austin area. A bit too humid for me, but the scenery is great and also there is so much to do on any given weekend.

That's funny, too humid. Everyone here complains about how dry it is. Chapped lips and such. We go to Houston in the summer and can't get back to Austin fast enough, to get out of the humidity. Houston is like a sauna.

Then again compared to El Paso I guess most anyplace is considered humid, right? 😛

I was looking at their website and they are proud of their stuff. They for sure have unusual and special optioned cars, but out of the current economy pricing IMHO. Neat cars though.
