Sunroof install

I have been playing with the idea of adding a sunroof to my GP for a little while now.I'm sure someone on the forum has done it before. How much risk is there in hacking the roof apart? I know it can't be too easy. I just think it would look really good on my car. Any tips or advice would be great. Thanks.

Not overly difficult.
Be sure of your measurements, a jigsaw with a metal blade works well, strip caulk is a good sealer.

Unless you plan on installing a factory moonroof, I'd advise against it. Personally, I think the aftermarket pop-up sunroofs look pretty cheap and can be a nightmare down the road when they start to leak (which they will). Personally, I'd wouldn't even consider buying a car with an aftermarket sunroof (or t-tops etc) installed in it.

I was thinking of trying to pull a Moonroof off a Caddy and installing it... But the idea of cutting up my roof is unfathomable. :shock: Maybe later if i gather up the nerve to do it..
