Recently I've put everything on the original motor back together. Put evrything back in time and finnaly got that V6 back running. Then all of a sudden more problems came about. The alternator went out, replaced it. Then after that it ran hot on me. So im serious thinking of an engine swap because i dont want to continue putting money into the original motr and things go sour on me. So my question is......if i change to the Olds 350 rocket, what all adjustment do i need to make? I've been told that the motor mounts are the same and the xmember will bolt on to the trans with no modifications. The guy is selling me a 350 Rocket with a 350 transmission behind it. Do i need another drive shaft? Do i need a new rear end? And how can i make all of this possible on the budget that I'm on? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

You will need frame motor mount pads from a 78-88 gbody with an olds engine. Motor mounts. Gbody v8 radiator and top plate. Gbody v8 fan shroud. Battery and fuel line moved opposite side as they are now. If you have the 3 SPd 200 trans, the 350 trans is a direct swap. Olds Buick Pontiac use the same transmission bell housing pattern. If your v6 has the distributor in the front, it's the Buick engine.
