Swapping q-jet from 85 Monte?

Replaced my busted q-jet with one from a monte 305, non HO. Car is havin alot of trouble startin and runs like dick. What all do I need to fiddle with to get it running right or atleast drivable?

Was the old carb computer controlled?

yes it was, and this one is aswell.
It's not like I'm tryin to run a non CCC carb on the thing.
But I'm pretty sure the gasket is causing most of the issues since we tried to re-use it. Since I'm outta money after all the sh*t that this car apparently felt like breaking, I'm gunna hafta try and use RTV black to seal that sucker up.
