MALIBU Switch? Wiper washer …

Hi 👋 buddy of mine said; we will put in your new washer pump!! But do me a favor,,, pick up a wiper switch, what’s the part no# for this 79 Chevy Malibu non intermittent wiper thingy switch ?

I have been searching for wiper switch. And I need guidance. Dez

Is there an issue with you original? They do go bad but not too often. To ensure if you need one or not, make sure everything functions. Right now I'm guessing both speeds work & just need to put a test light on the two tweminals for the washer pump to make sure it lights when pushing to wash. But in case, I don't have any part numbers handy right now but the non delay switch is interchangeable between the '78-'79 & '80-'81 with the difference being early having "WIPE WASH", later have the wipe/wash symbol. Chevy's & GMC regardless of the dash cluster.

Been nursing this wiper motor for a year. Non-intermittent wipers would shut off randomly, so I picked up a new washer pump. At one point, I had to nudge the wipers by hand to get them moving again, then they started working on their own. Noticed the ground was off, so I pulled the fender to make sure it was solid. Now I’ve got nothing—no wipers at all.Dez

So far, I’ve replaced the motor, washer pump, and wiper cover. Now I’m looking for the switch. What’s the best way to look that up?

Right now you'll have to hunt used or NOS. It's been almost 20 years since I personally have seen a new replacement.

469070 is the GM p/n for 78-80 non-delay wiper switch. Superseded to 14009243.
Here's an NOS 9243 that was used in the 81s. It has the little windshield icon. Around 30 bucks shipped seems very do-able.
