My '82 cutlass currently has a sweep speedo, with nothing but the speedo and gas guage. I now have a rally cluster with tach etc. How tough is it to swap them? what kind of new wires am I going to have to run?

The connectors that go into the rear of the cluster are the same but the wires will need to be re-arranged. Simple to do.
I know you'll have to add a wire for the tach. Not a big deal just go to a scrap yard and snag a clip from any GM with an older HEI distributor. It clips on the dist right beside where the *BATT* connection is but on the firewall side of the cap. Should be a white wire.
The oil & water sending units for gauges will be differant.
