Switched out the T type hydro boost system for a normal brake booster. The brakes are horrible though pretty close to being undriveable. Theyve been bled, checked re bled and checked again. My question is the proportionary valve for the hydro boost brake system different then a standard one. I dont know if there different but thats the only conclusion i can come to as to why the brakes are so bad. Any input is greatly appreciated thanks

My 1st question would be WHY the change?

My second question is do you have good vacuum supply to the booster? If you do not have enough vacuum the brakes will SUCK! The Turbos use the Hydro or the electric vacuum pump because a turbo engine has practically no vacuum @ times.

im No longer running power steering on the car the motors been swapped out. I got the car and the t type motor was pulled and disassembled when i got it and someone already had a 350 in place. I put a built 350 in it because the previous owner hacked alot of the original wiring for some reason to the point where i had to get a new headlight wiring harness he had like 8 wires hooked up to run the 350 it was a nightmare. The brake pedal feels good but the car just isnt coming to a stop. So i wasnt sure if it was the proportionary distribution block. If there different on a turbo regal compared to a regular one because of the hydro boost.

The prop valve was a recall on the turbo Buicks. They were suppose to be replaced with a brass unit. The plunger must be depressed & the system bled out. Then the plunger is released. Crack the right rear wheel cylider before depressing that plunger or you will kill it.
Keep in mind if you went from a Power master brake system 86-87 & put vacuum or hydro boost on you must swap out the pedal or at least the Pin on the brake pedal location. I'm not sure what year your car is.

Car is an 83. i took the hydro boost off and added a brake booster from an early 90's S10.
