I've been looking into converting to a efi system. The aftermarket systems are pricey. I've ran across a few articles and webpages that a lot of useful information about carb to TBI conversions. I was wondering if any you Gbody guys have done this conversion?

I haven't done what you are asking about specifically. You would need all the related parts plus a custom chip for the ECM. The chip itself would probably be the most expensive part. Stock GM TBI parts can be had pretty cheap if you keep an eye out. Be aware that many TBI intake manifolds have funky canted bolt holes that won't likely match your heads.
You might want to consider a Holley Pro-Jection system. They are essentially a universal GM based TBI system but with the benefit of an adjustable control unit. I installed a couple several years ago and they worked well. Complete (used) kits show up at swap meets or on CL and ebay frequently for $200-$400.

Thanks

i would like a something like a TBI setup on my Cutlass. I like the simplicity and reliability (and decent economy) of TBI systems.
But it's a carbed buick 3.8L, and i don't want to put any money into a 100hp terd of a V6.
Hopefully will have a 4.8L truck motor swapped in next year.
