hi all, i am almost finished with a 350 tbi/ 700r4 swap into my 82 gp, i have run into a problem. i am using a 27" aluminum radiator with an 86 monte carlo v8 shroud and the clutch fan from the donor 92 chevy van. the problem is the fan scrapes the top of the shroud. i have elongated ythe bottom bolt holes and pushed the shroud up as far as i can but it still rubs. i believe it is a 19.5 inch fan. does anyone know of a fix for this, maybe a smaller fan blade that will work with the serp stup? what make and model fan will work?

You could try to make some shims to go in between the two halves of the shroud. Use some corrugated cardboard and just dont tighten the bolts too tight or you can use some metal or something. I know it sounds silly but it should work if you dont wanna buy another shroud

You can trim the ends of the blades. I did that on my El Camino when I converted to a clutch style fan.
