Temperature hand fluctuating???'s

Make sure the radiator is full. Consider installing a new thermostat. A big radiator when the ambient air cools down will contribute. My old school Dodge Cummins W250 did this in the winter.

I'd suggest making sure the complete circuit doesn't have any loose connections between the three wires. Check the green temp circuit 35, pink/black gauge circuit 39 & black ground 150. It might be as simple as the gauge being loose in the cluster where it sits, the cluster harness plug (but other issues could be present with this) or just the wire at the sender. Also don't rule out the gauge itself might be going bad.
