Pontiac says goodbye Grand Prix, hello G8

Ah well, it figures. Just as Ford and Chrysler are figuring out that names mean everything (and Chevy's catching on) Pontiac decides to dump the GP marque after 40-some years in favor of their Australian made G8.

/me shakes head in disbelief.

[edit: OK the G6 is made in S. Amer. not the G8]

Just like Chevy's getting rid of the Monte. That's just gay. What'd they do last time? A Lumina. Woo. And an Impala for Nascar. Gay. Oh well. I hate when they throw away classic nameplates. But I mean, think positively. At least they didn't do what they did to the Nova nameplate. Remember those terrible tiny cars from like the 80's. The little 4 door nova. haha. I'd be pissed.
