Hey guys, I just saw this very nice pioneer head unit and I really want this head unit but it's a double-Din. Is it any way that I can make it work in my G-body?

In my GP I made an aluminum one and powdercoated it satin black. I would have put a double din unit in there, but it was loaded sith so much other stuff, I had no room, so I have a nice single DIN Pioneer unit in there now. Future plans are to put a pop-out screen in the passenger side dash.
 Man that thing looks HUGE! Lol! Pioneer has always been my favorite in head units, Alpine a close second. Here was my old deck DEH-p8500mp, by far the best deck I have ever owned. I don't have it anymore cause I passed it down to my bro-in-law, now it's gone forever! Shame cause I paid a lot for it brand new!454muscle said:Ahh I didn't know about the Soundstream flip-down unit. I suppose if I really want to.. and I might do this in the future, I could always go this route if I want a DVD player:
I got the DEH-P980BT over 2 years ago for the project, I never thought it woulda taken so long. Point is, to date, I still don't see anything better than that unit. The graphics and quality are amazing, and the price is even better now than when I first bought it. You should Youtube some demos for it and see what I mean.78mali350 said:For the first post, Indeed your best bet would be to make your own trim plate for the mounting of the double din player. On another note, I also have a Pioneer unit installed in my bu however it's a bottom end unit, but still pretty impressive. I have also had a few Alpine's in the day and I LOVE those units, trying to find something for my truck as we speak
that thing looks way to big....if u just want a dvd player u can buy one from ebay theyre really small and u can hide them anywhere they look like a cd case with a pop-up door for the dvd..last time i checked they were around 50 bucks or less...easy to install aswell, pos. neg. and rca video signal and done454muscle said:Ahh I didn't know about the Soundstream flip-down unit.
