Over the weekend did a complete front rebuild. One thing I did was remove 1 coil fron the front springs.

Looked good, maybe a tad low, with almost a 2" drop. The car had a front rake though.

Had a brutal week , wife outta town, 2 out of 3 kids sick. They "shared" it with me also.

So anyway, today I decide to see what I could do about bringing the rear down. Tried some eibach springs I had, too much, 3" drop.

Had some MOOG cargos that I had removed because they were to low before (pre frontend drop). Now with the front end down they are perfect.

They brought the rear down 1 3/4" and the made the front move up a little also. Real close to level now.

It sits a 1/4" low in the r/r but I have a spacer that will cure that.

Can't wait to see how she handles now!!

Great! My wagon is saggin' in the rear and I want to lower my front as well, just don't know when I'll have the time. Or which springs I want to use.......or just cut them.

Ok here ya go. It is kinda hard to shot at an angle that shows how it really looks. I really is much lower then it appears.

I also overexposed some shots to show detail , shadows are real harsh.

Before, same tire combo , just with "sleeper" hubcaps

Now lowered with one winters surface rust. :?

Keep in mind she sat a little high before and it has alot of tire under it (235/60 15 front 255/60 15 rear).

Hope that helps.

Found the r/r tire rubs the fender ever so slightly with my kid (3) in the car.

Forgot I had 1/2 spacers on the back from my old rims. Swapped a 1/4" in. on, seems good now.

The car handles great in turns as well as straight until I hit a bump. It's real "darty" over bumps.

Now that the suspension is tight all the slop in the steering box is rearing it's ugly head. 😳

Getting a quick ratio box tonight and plan on installing it this weekend.

Gotta love how cars show you the next weakest link.

Does it ever end?

Don't answer that I already know. :?

I did cross-post this in a couple of threads that I thought it fit:

I finished up my front coils on the wagon today.
I cut (1) coil from the bottom, and looks very close to 2 inches of drop.
The first side I did last night took about 4 hours...(never did the job before)...and tonight took about and hour to finish up the driver's side.
I LOVE the way it rides and handles now........very glad I did it!

Get this.....the driver side shock was only mounted to the lower control arm........they ran it through like it should be, and put the lower bolts in, b ut the shock is broke (or something;fully compressed and locked) and then they just had the upper mounting bushings and nut on the top, not attached to anything! I've been driving this thing for a couple of months with no shock on the front driver, and didn't see any signs of it. In fact, I still can't. I'm going to put new shocks all around, but that blows my mind!
