You know how when you have all these things planned to do on your car on the weekend but then other things pop up and you end up doing those instead. Well that was my weekend so far. Maybe I’ll get some things done on the Malibu tomorrow.

Boat races took priority after the Dr. appt. on Friday.

These boats are my son’s friend. Father and son team. The green boat is 900HP and the other one is 1200HP

My son, hard at work.

Then Saturday, the car show at the Harley Davison dealership. 200+ cars. While there were plenty of muscle cars, it was predominantly Low Riders and bikes. Lots of Low Rider Gbodys. While not quite my style, it was nice to see the passion and craftsmanship that went into their cars.

And it was all for the children. Of course, everyone had a great time.
Enjoy.

That green hull almost reminds me of a vintage Rayson Craft flat bottom. Guy by the name of Rudy Ramos ran them in the 60's? AMY/Ertl actually offered a scale model of it at one point. Never could get them to float.:D

I was talking to someone at work about not seeing those mini trucks anymore from the '80's & there was on with its bed lifted up.

That fantom Monte Convertible looked sort of interesting and the Dodge/Fargo school bus would definitely intrigue a buddy of mine who used to own a 51 Dodge opera window Pick up. Threw the P/U box away and hand crafted a flat deck out of wood for it. Ended up selling it back to the original owner. I kind of cringe now when I see it as it has acquired a couple of dings that I don't think it deserves but it isn't mine so..............

Wonder what the bus had for a mill/

Apparently the minitruck scene has had a bit of a revival with a lot of 80s 90s retro style builds the last few years.

The guy with the bus said it's a '49 Dodge. It has a small block chevy it in. He took over the build from his uncle who passed away and is continuing to build it for his aunt. She was a school teacher for 39 years. The license plate says, "NVR TRDY" I'm thinking it needs more power than a SBC if it wants to always be on time.

There's racing cars, combine that with the price of a boat.. yea that's not cheap. Good looking cars there.

There were some set ups at the boat races that are definately in the multi millions of dollars

Small block Chevvie??? UH-Uh. That bus needs some More-Par. 360, 400, or a 440. Lots of elderly motorhomes around that came with 440 mills. Indy does all kinds of Mopar parts and items. You could even go high zoot and stuff in a late model hemi with all the CPU/processor crap. The older ones are starting to hit the yards; good project for a 1/2 price Pick a Part Day excursion.

Agreed!
That bus DOES need more power. The Scat Pack SRT challengers would provide a nice engine/trans combo to move that thing comfortably down the road.
