i was trying to figure out why the front of my 83 cutlass supreme sat so high. when i got under the car i noticed the front springs are the size of a dime around and are taller than my rear springs. is this normal and is it stock? my blue 87 cutlass supreme had smaller around front springs and sat lower in the front.

looks like the rear is sagging. maybe the back springs have seen better days and it just makes you think the fronts are too tall. you can always trim the fronts if you want. just remember that the shorter they get the stiffer they get BUT do not use anything that will heat up the spring while cutting them, so dont use a cutting torch or anything like that.

OR just get new fronts and rears you want or like, moog #5660 front springs arent that much. summit sells them under the same part number for 55 bucks.

Teh rear springs are definetly haing an effect on the height in the front.

You should try swapping out the rear springs and see how much it changes.

you can also pull the front springs out and cut some of it. do a 1/4 of a coil at a time.

ohhh one of the thinner one might be v6 springs.

making it sit a little lower
