I'm looking to upgrade my mufflers really soon. I want a more aggressive sound. Flowmaster 40 sound great but they cost twice the amount of the Thrush welded mufflers. I've been told they sound very similar but I've never heard the Thrush welded mufflers for myself. Any advice or input?

i personally dont like flowmaster, excuse me "dont-flowmasters" they really dont do what there name imply's. i used to have a thrush welded on my old 95 cherokee with the straight 6 and it sounds good.

On my 78 with the big block i am running dual 3" dynomax ultraflow's and the sound that car makes with a stroked big block and the mufflers is pretty unholy, kinda like i'm going to kill you and your entire family sound! LOL!

my vote is go with the Thrush, or try the summit racing welded mufflers, just like the thrush and they also sound good too.

I have the THRUSH welded mufflers on my SBC setup with an x-pipe and it sounds absolutely amazing  Much better than any Flowmaster system I have ever heard

Thanks for the feed back. There is a muffler comparison only another forum and flowmaster didnt flow as well as Thrush or Dynomax. Flowmasters are all about sound.
