I have a 85 buick regal that came factory with 14 in rims and tires. I am trying to put a set of sport star wheels from jegs that are 15x8 with i believe a 4 inch back spacing. the tires that i have are 275 60 15 does anyone know if these will fit on here with out any major modifying or rolling the lip of the fender well. I am willing to use a spacer on it but i would like to know what size if anyone has done this any help will be nice.

it will likely fit...
however, it will be tight, and if you're car has had a frame rail replacement, or the suspension is sagging, I would advise against a tall tire like that. A 255/60R15 would be safer and more sensible.

here is a 275/60R15 on my Grand Prix. The rear rails have been replaced and geometry is just a touch off. If there's alot of weight in the trunk, the tires rub going over bumps.

I plan on replacing the whole rear suspension the the suspension that i had in a 81 malibu wagon. that is the springs shocks and trailing arms with all new bushings. Do you think doing that will allow me to fit that tire on there and on the wagon i needed a 7/16 spacer will i need one with the regal or do you know

I don't know what springs came in the wagons and elcaminos. I've heard they are called "cargo springs". I've also seen people use these in a coupe and it gave the back end a little extra height. These tires should clear the frame rails on their own, but you might have to use a small spacer, like 1/4" or 3/8". And if it's tight on the outside by the fender skirt, the cargo springs should give you a little more height and stiffness.

Thanks alot you've been help now I guess I will have to get them on and get the motor in it so I can start driving it when the weather breaks.

missing two lug nuts.......

4.5 backspace or less seems to work on a G body. I have 17 x 8 with a 4.5 and they work. I do have a little rubbing on the front with the 235 55 17s

I had these wheels on a 81 Malibu wagon and I had to use spacers on it but I want sure if the Regal would be different but thanks for the info.
