Tire combo?

Would the following combo look good for a 15x8 wheel?

205/60R15 front
225/60/R15 rear

This is for my 82 Malibu.

I am looking at the uniroyal tiger paw touring NT.

I like 245/60/15s (26.5 in tall)on the rear and 215/65/15s (26 in tall) on the front.

No and they're too narrow for an 8" rim.

I thought that 60 on the rear and 65 on the front would make the front taller than the rear. Is this not correct?

The 60 and 65 numbers are the aspect ratio of the tire. This tells you the height of the tire from the bead to the top of the tread based on a percentage of the tire width. So if you have a 245/60R15 tire, your tire width would be 245 mm (9.6 in), the height would be 60% of 245 mm or 147 mm (~5.8 in). Double the tire height and add the diameter of your wheel for your overall wheel/tire height.

Short answer, No.

I had no idea that that was how that worked. I just though that the lower the number the shorted sidewall. Interesting.

If the tires are the same size then the 65 is taller then the 60. Example 245/65/15 is 27.5 in tall and the 245/60/15 is 26.5 in tall. So using a 215/65/15 that tire is 26 in tall.
