tire size question

I would say they are too small they are just under 25" tall and not very wide, I think a 6-8" rim range with about a 9" section width. Maybe just on the front if the car is lowered.
To me G-Bodies don't look good with really short tires and those big wheel wells, just my opinion.

A buddy of mine has a GNX with the factory 16x8s. He has 245/50/16s on the front and 255/50/16s on the rear. Looks great and I think the 50 series is a good balance between cornering ability and straight line traction. When you start to make some decent power you quickly realize ultra low profile tires suck at straight line traction. If you want to run the same size all the way around the GNX came with 245/50/16s all the way around.

well stock right now im at 24.93 and if i do 225/50/16 i will be at 24.86

I've lowered my '84 Monte SS about 1" with lowering springs, and I'm running P235/60R16 tires on 4 front 16" IROC rims. They fill up the wheelwells nicely.

Stock for standard gbody was 25.5" ie 195/75/14 and performance 25.9" 215/65/15 and GNX 25.7" 245/50/16.

At 24.86 you would be an inch short of a the stock performance gbodys.

i had a 79 malibu with S10 extreme wheels on it. i put 225/50s on the front and 225/60s on the rear. looked pretty good. i just recently found the car on RJ for sale in florida.
