new to the site and love it so far!!!

now to my question....what size of tires do you run? im looking at putting some new rubber on my Monte SS and was wondering what you guys thought...something like 235/65/15 maybe??? i would love to see some pics if you have any....i would like to keep all the tires the same size and maybe go with some Solid white lettered??? im unsure right now....lol :?

THANKS! 😀

I am running IROC 16s with BFG KDWS, 245/50ZR16s all around. Usually, you can fit up to 275s in the rear with normal 15" rims, with about 4" backspacing, or 0 offset. The 16s were tricky because the backspacing is huge, and I had to use spacers and extended studs.

As for white lettering; I grew out of that a few years ago, I now like the black look. But, if you're a fan, might I suggest investing in a set of 15x8 corvette rally wheels, and BFG Radial T/A tires?

If you want a nice stance, try to find 15x7s for the front, with 15x8 in back, with 215/60R15s up front, and 255/60R15s in the back. Or, if you're looking for a more reserved look, just get some 15x7s all around, with 235rubber all around...

Here are some pictures of my GP with IROC 16s

These pictures were taken last year, and the wheels have since then been painted black...

For your stock 15's, a 235 60 15 will fit well, and is the same height as your stock 215 65 15's. Remember that the aspect ratio is a percentage of the width of the tire. If you go wider, you need to reduce the aspect ratio in order to maintain the same sidewall height.

On my car, I prefer 245 50 16's, but I run 16x8 in wheels with a 4 in backspace, so my situation is different from yours.
