how big of a tire (height and width) can i stick under my cutlass without major modification. im looking at a set of 255/50/15s. will these fit?

Stock ride height you can go 26" tall 235/60/15 or equivalent. I run that on stock 15x7s on both my GN & 442. Back with decent backspaceing 275/60/15 or 28" tall actually 255/70/15 29" tall also works. 255/50/15 if someone makes it would be a lil short. I run 275/50/15s on the back of my GN on a 15x8 widened factory rim. Years ago I ran a 265/50/15 on the back on the stock 15x7.
I also run 235/60R15 up front... it looks great, although I plan on going back to the stock 215/65.
In back I have 255/60R15 and it fills the wheel well nicely.
It's hard to see in your sig pic but it looks like you have 442 15x7's...correct?

I had 275 60r15s on 8 inch wide wheels on a cutlass, didnt have a problem.
a 295 would probably rub on the outer wheel well in corners.

Blake I have been working on her and I might see if I can bring the digi camera and provide some updates. I want to take pictures of the functional cold air induction, motor, rear suspension, and whole car pics. Its not a show car but a decent looking fun driver.
